I’ve heard about Redundancy cover, but don’t know very much about it. Can you tell me more?

You should seek the advice of your financial adviser if you are thinking of taking up this cover because of certain recent rulings.

If payments from a policy claim are made direct to you, there is a possibility that any benefit payments due to you may be reduced by the amount paid by the policy.

However, this is unlikely to happen if policy payments are made direct to the mortgagee or a loan company (where payments are in respect of outstanding loans).
