Do I need a Bank Account?

• Most banks offer free basic services if you are in credit - including cashcard, chequebook, cheque-guarantee card, credit card and paying-in facilities.

• Most employers will only pay your wage or salary direct into a bank account.

• You may need direct debits or standing orders to pay regular bills.

• Some banks offer telephone or Internet facilities - so you may not even have to visit a bank branch.
